To bring everyone up to speed, the family is doing great, and it has a been a very busy summer. Heidi took the kids to see her parents in Texas for a couple of weeks, then drove home with Jack. Erin and Alec stayed to go visit Carlsbad Caverns with their grandparents, then flew home by themselves, a big adventure to be sure. They had been home less than a week when we left to go on a 7-day cruise in the Western Caribbean with my Mother's side of the family aboard the Voyager of the Seas, a ship from the Royal Caribbean Cruise Line. It was an incredible trip, and we had a lot of fun. Keep an eye out for pictures in the Photo Gallery.

More recently, Erin left for Girl Scout Camp at Camp Pine Acres last Sunday, and will be home this coming Saturday. The boys are hanging out with their Mom, spending time at the pool and making preparations to return to school on August 12.

This online journal is intended primarily for personal news in which my family and friends are interested. I anticipate the updates to be sporadic at best, but I hope it helps to alleviate my notorious lack of communication.
